Giants Stadium Record Smashed
U2 broke the house record at Giants Stadium last week when more than 84,000 people turned out for its 360 Tour at the New Jersey venue, according to a press release. Attendance at the band’s Sept. 24 concert smashed the previous record that was set by Pope John Paul II’s 1995 visit.

When Bono announced from the stage that the band had broken every attendance record in the stadium, he also acknowledged New Jersey’s favorite son, Bruce Springsteen. “Sorry Bruce–we know it’s your birthday and all,” he said.

I will miss Giants stadium. Went to see a several Giants games in the past and had some good memories. I love U2. Thanks for the lead on the shirts.
