“Beautiful Day” is the first song and lead single from U2’s 2000 album, All That You Can’t Leave Behind. It was a commercial success, helping launch the album to multi-platinum status, and is one of U2’s biggest hits to date. It was their fourth #1 single in the UK and their first #1 in the Netherlands, while the single also was #1 for a week in Australia. The song peaked at #21 in the U.S., the band’s highest position since “Discothèque” in 1997. The song won three Grammy Awards in 2001.

Rolling Stone Magazine placed “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” at number 93 in their list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.

The U2 song was their second number 1 single on the “Billboard Hot 100″.
“I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” was also off the “Joshua Tree” album, and this version is live from the Vertigo Tour in Milan.
U2 broke the house record at Giants Stadium last week when more than 84,000 people turned out for its 360 Tour at the New Jersey venue, according to a press release. Attendance at the band’s Sept. 24 concert smashed the previous record that was set by Pope John Paul II’s 1995 visit.

When Bono announced from the stage that the band had broken every attendance record in the stadium, he also acknowledged New Jersey’s favorite son, Bruce Springsteen. “Sorry Bruce–we know it’s your birthday and all,” he said.

“With or Without You” is off U2’s 1987 album “The Joshua Tree. The song was released as a single in the same year and was the bands first number one hit in America.

It is one of the world’s most popular live events but U2’s massive 360° tour has still not turned a profit.
The concerts have generated €205m in ticket sales so far, but Paul McGuinness, the band’s manager, said that the tour has not yet broken even because the daily running costs are more than €500,000.
With more than 120 trucks transporting three stages that cost $40m to build and up to 500 staff on the payroll, U2’s tour is being touted as the most expensive rock’n’roll expedition ever mounted.
